The com. on Davidson College reported and their report was adopted and is as follows viz.
On the Subject of a College within the bounds of the Synod of N.Car. The Pres of Concord have adopted the following resolutions viz
1st Resolved that this Presbytery express the earnest desire that all the Presbytery in the State of N.Car. should cooperate in building up and sustaining a College worthy of their character and suited to their wants
2 Resolved that the favorable location and growing popularity of Davidson College commend it as an auspicious commencement in this great work
3. Resolved that in the opinion of this Presbytery a proportional and equitable share in teh Control of Davidson College should be granted to all the Presbyteries which may unite in supporting it in accordance with the provisions of the Charter already obtained.
