Alma User ROLES

The Alma User Roles Descriptions spreadsheet pulls the Ex Libris provided documentation. The first tab comes from User Roles – Descriptions and Accessible Components and is the most readable. It breaks down the Modules, the roles associated with that area, what Alma menu items those roles have access to, and what those roles can do.

The rest of the spreadsheet gets more granular and technical and can be hard to read but gives the full accounting of roles and privileges in Alma.

The Alma Staff Roles spreadsheet lists library staff members who have roles assigned to them. Based on the information from Ex Libris, you can see who has access to what areas in Alma and what they can do. ALL roles can search and have the same user interface, so basic searching and navigation are the same across users.
